What is good design?

Nobody cares about your design and they should not be, because that’s not what they need. People want something better, something simple, something which can make their life easier.

You’re not an artist you are a problem solver, If the design doesn’t work right, it doesn’t matter how aesthetic it is.

When we focus and take care of people’s problems and their pain points then the whole problems drive the design on both the UI and UX parts. But the other way round won’t work too far.

I don’t say that you don’t need to design better UIs or interactions but what are your priorities in the process? Finding people’s problems and trying to solve them or getting stuck with choosing the perfect color for your buttons.

People choose your product not because it looks good but they have a belief that you deliver the promise of taking care of their needs.
